Unhappy Hedgei Parasitic Worms?!

Hello everyone! I really need some advice about a very disturbing thing that happened while my son and I were playing with our hedgehog (who had been lethargic in the last 4 days and lost some weight due to poor appetite) this morning. I saw a live tiny white maggot like worm on my arm where the hedgie recently was. I'm thinking Sochi has worms because I'm sure that disgusting worm didn't come from either me of my son. If anyone has had any experience with deworming a hedgie I would really appreciate some direction and advice. Additional info- I had just bathed Sochi an hour before the play time and she ate 6 pieces of soaked kibble half an hour after the worm incident. She also drinks adequate amounts of water.

This would be something you need to get from a vet. Most over the counter worm treatments don't work and may not be safe for a hedgehog.

Thank you, Nikki. I looked at 3 vets in my neighborhood and none of them treat hedgehogs. I guess I'll just have to look further. I'm just worried that if I don't get rid of those worms soon she might have irreversible issues or worse.
