Hi there.
I need a second opinion. My hedgehog seems to be about to quill. I know an Aveeno Oatmeal bath will soothe him, but I know I can't bathe him constantly. How many baths is it appropriate to give them during quilling? When is it the best time to give them? I figure if I can only give him one bath, I'll pick the most uncomfortable, irritating time to cut him some slack. So, in your experience what part of quilling makes them the crabbiest, meanest and huffiest? How long does quilling last anyway?

I'm far from any kind of expert but from my reading and general thinking, I'm not sure if there is any specific stage. Its kind of like they drop maybe 10 to 20 quills, and the next day the new quills are coming in, while again they drop 10 to 20 more, and so on. Kind of like a repeating process. I'm probably dead wrong, but thats what I've assumed from my readings.
Bath wise I know its no more than 2 a month due to dry skin problems.
