Default How many quills should a hedgehog quill?

My hedgie has been losing quite a lot of quills this past week. I'm assuming it's her 12-week quilling, because she's just at or beyond that age. I don't think she's sick & she doesn't seem to have mites. I just wondered how many quills is appropriate to be losing per day. I'd say she's probably been losing around 10 or so each of the past few days. Is this okay??

The title reminded me a lot of the old nursery rhyme "How much wood would a wood chuck chuck" lol I'm a nerd I know but onto your question. I think the number varies but when my girl was going through her 8 week quilling she started out loosing 10-15 steady for a few nights and then it slowly decreased to about 2 or 3. Mine is still little and may go through some more. My hedgie Loken lost less per night and had a more steady number but his lasted a little longer.

10 sounds just normal. Some quill very lightly (only a quill here and there) and some just drop loads. As long as she isn't scratching excessively and you can see new quills growing in, I wouldn't worry.
