Default Sudden Fur Loss and Skin Flakes

Hi. Tonight when I took my hedgehog out I noticed that there was a heavy amount of skin flakes in her blankets. I also noticed a lot of fur that was shed. This is the first time I noticed it. Her ears were dry so I put some Eucerin lotion on them and she hated it.
The flakes don't look like bugs... it's definitely skin flakes. What could have caused this dryness and fur loss? I gave her a bath about 2 weeks ago with Aveeno Oatmeal baby soap. I have not changed any detergents for her blankets or liners. Her diet consists of Purina One and a supplement of sweet potatos, peas, pears and applesauce baby foods.. about a tblspoon each night of one baby food choice.( I alternate veggies and fruits.) The rest of her looks okay. Her feet and face look normal. Her skin is especially dry. I looked through her blankets and found one quill. There was no ball on it... but it looked like a very small baby quill. She is 9 months old now... she has finished quilling. Any advice? Does this warrant a vet visit? Thanks.

I almost wonder if it has to do with the heat because it seems like there is a lot of hedgie parents going through this right now. If he seems to be scratching a lot or uncomfortable you could take him in to get some Revolution in case it does happen to be mites. How warm is it in his cage? I have noticed some shed fur on my liners even though the temperature in the cage is the same year round (around 75).

Thanks I hope thats all it is. Her cage is 79/80... it is warmer bc of a hibernation attempt a while back. The humidity fluctuates... I live in North Carolina so right now it is brutally hot and humid! Our ac has been consistently 79 degrees (I know it sounds hot but its so much cooler than outside.)
I will keep an eye out... She is eating and pottying normally... If I notice a change I will take her in. Or if I notice any more quills that have fallen out. Thanks for your help~! My hedgie is my baby!
