Determining a healthy weight for a hedgie is really difficult... but most people consider their hedgies overweight if:
a) they cannot roll into a ball
b) they have a "double chin" type thing when they roll into a ball

Your hedgie might just be a big boy/girl, so just watch out for those signs and you should be okay

Also, Purina is not good for hedgies (I think)

Oh, oops! My mistake sorry about that, it's such a long list I can't remember which is ok and which isn't sometimes

I'm sure he's fine ^-^

My Kashi eats like a beast, but I'm not really worried about him being fat... He runs on his wheel alllllll night @[email protected]

Purina One is an adequate food as part of a mix. I wouldn't feed it as the only food so adding a higher quality food would be a good idea.

325 is an okay weight for a baby but it is individual to the hedgehog. It depends on his size and body shape. I wouldn't worry about it at all at 9 weeks old.

Give him time, he will most likely figure out the wheel soon. What type of wheel is it? Sometimes they catch on instantly but other times need a few weeks.

It's amazing how much they can differ in weight! My boy is 1 1/2 years old, and just over 300g.

But yes, I wouldn't worry at nine weeks. It's hard to pinpoint the "right" weight for a hedgie, they're all so different. Just like most other animals and people As long as he can still ball up and doesn't have a double chin or any other signs of obesity, he's probably right on track.

Silent spinner wheels are not "hedgehog safe," you should try getting a comfort wheel, or a cake-top wheel

Hedgie weights vary so much, it can almost be compared to human weights. Really depends on the shape, size and age of the hedgie/human to determine a good weight for them. :P

Expanding on this: the main reason that silent spinners are dangerous is that they have been known to fall apart WHILE the animal is still running in it. I believe it has also been said that they are not steady, and can tip over far too easily.
