Default Chubby Hog

My hedgehog winchester is a chubby little guy. A few months ago he gained a bit of weight and is about 600g. He is a very very active hedgehog, runs for hours on end. His poop is normal consistency and color, he has no behavioural changes. I took him to the vet and everything seems to be fine except his weight. I changed his food from Blue Buffalo Adult Cat to Blue Buffalo Weight Control. He has lost only a bit of weight since then but i am unsure what is going on? Any tips or advice for me? Could he be sick or is he just a chunky little guy? He seems very healthy in terms of eyes nose and quills. He has dry skin sometimes.

Can he roll fully into a ball? Hedgehogs have an enormous range of healthy weights, and that's a good first indicator of whether they're too fat.

Sometimes even overweight hedgehogs can ball up completely, so that's not always the only thing to look for. Some other signs of being a bit overweight are "squishy" sides, very round sides, a hump of fat between the shoulders on the back, rolls of fat under their armpits, and a double chin.

If you're still unsure about how bad his weight might be, you could post some pictures to get second opinions on here. Most useful pictures are taken from above, looking down at the hedgehog so we can see his body shape.
