Default Sad story with a happy new beginning

We received a call from a vet regarding a very sick hedgie. Age unknown. The vet, having no idea how to treat this exotic animal, called us because of a prescription we one had filled for our boys for mites. The vet said there was a woman who found an emaciated hedgie in a cardboard box. No wheel. No toys. No food. Only a soiled face cloth. He had barely any quills or under fur from mites and stress, raw skin and sores that were bleeding. We were horrified.
Enraged.

Of course we took him in. Oatmeal baths, vitamin E,
Royal canin food, mealies, and meds and he's slowly recovering.

He is home now. His own 4 ft cage. Storm wheel and the comfiest
Bedding, toys and lodgings. He seems very distrustful
But has reached out in his own way. I even heard him chirping.

Happy New Year to you all and especially him

What a sad, then happy storey. I hope he has many years of love and good care with you.
