Default only pooping/peeings every second day?

Sylvie seems to have fallen into a pattern where she only poops/pees every second day. Has anyone experienced this? I know she is active every night regardless as things are moved in her cage, food and water decreased. Last night for example she was playing on the sofa with me, very much awake & excited, sniffing & climbing everywhere - but no poo/pee today.

I recent had a number of people at my apartment for a couple days and thought it was the excitement that was bothering her, but they're gone now. Here's the timeline:

Dec 29 - cage get's moved into my room. poo/pee is regular overnight
Dec 30 - everyone comes in, big party in my living room, no poo/pee overnight
Dec 31 - people are here until about 9pm in living room, poo/pee regular overnight
Jan 1 - People are here all night in living room, no poo/pee overnight
Jan 2 - People driven to airport, Sylvie's cage moved back to living room. People stormed in & return from 11 pm - 4:30 am & then leave. poo/pee regular overnight
Jan 3 - everyone is gone. living room is quiet & dark by midnight. no poo/pee overnight

when there is poo, it's consistent and looks healthy.

How much food is she eating? How is her weight? What are you using for water, dish or bottle? Are you using a cage liner?

her weight is consistent around 600 depending on her pooping. in sept she was 500 but gained weight due to antibiotics she was on.

food is consistent. only recent change is that she's been getting meal worms for the past couple weeks. a couple thrown in to the dish & she was hand fed some on the 1st while she was out playing and we were watching movies.

water is from a dish, filtered tap water she's always drank.

she is on liners. has a litter pan that is under her wheel with papertowel in it. usually the paper towel is soaked. not now. she also has cut up fleece strips in her house which I've checked through and not found any poop.

she has a lamp attached to her cage, turns on at 6am & off at 6pm daily.
heat in my apt is kept between 22 & 24 *C - I tried it higher when she first came home & she would become lethargic.

she is almost 1 1/2 yrs old

maybe i should add:

Sylvie has a CWS. Recently I took it off the base & have it attached to the cage instead.

I don't know if that would make a difference but it is a recent change

This wouldn't apply for the poops since they are easy to see but is it possible that she is peeing on the liner, sometimes they dry up fast on fleece which makes the liners great? If she's peeing on the liner she may be doing it in a spot that makes her feel the most secure which also might be a spot that makes it harder to see. Has she had a full cage scrub down since the bathroom thing started, reason I ask is it possible she's getting under the liner or something else and pooping and peeing because she feels more secure. I know I'll find the occasional poop under the wheel from where mine will put his back up against the wheel and poop underneath in the middle, I wouldn't have noticed it right away if I hadn't seen him do it.

Hope your little guy is okay and that you guys find the culprit

Is she using her wheel? Sometimes when they are attached directly to the cage they droop too much to use or they don't use it as much.

Hedgieonboard - The liner is a light blue and turns green when she pees on it. There's also weighted things in each corner so she's not going under the liner.

Nancy - There was poop on it yesterday. I was wondering about this too. When I switched out the base & in the litter pan, it was a higher step up to the wheel. I thought maybe it was too high and that was why she wasn't running. I inverted another pan, putting it under her litter pan, and raising the whole thing as a little step. That night she ran & there was poo in the pan and on the wheel. The wheel is a little loose though so maybe I'll try tightening it for tonight.

When I had one of my CWS's attached directly to the cage bars, I took off the round base but left the pipes attached. This spread the weight of the wheel out over a larger area of the bars and sill allowed angle adjustment. It made the wheel much more secure.
