Default Blood in Ear

When I got Bosley out last night he had a bit of dried blood in his ear, in the folds at the bottom. I couldn't see the source after I cleaned it up with a little water. He was fine this morning, but there's a little again when I checked on him just now.

He is eating and drinking and running still, doesn't seem to have any balance problems or stomach upset.

I asked my breeder, but haven't gotten an answer back yet. Should I be going to the vet?

If you can't see any wounds or other external sources of the blood, I definitely think a trip to the vet is in order. Don't wait for the breeder to respond.

Possibly he is digging at his ear. Do you notice him scratching at his ears, shaking his head, or tilting his head? Possibly he has an ear infection or mites.

Thanks Nancy.

I haven't noticed any changes in behaviour like you mentioned. I doubt its mites, as there really isn't any source they could come from. I'm thinking he might have an ear infection. I've booked an appointment for tomorrow morning.

Hopefully the BosMonster is okay.
