Quill loss - Hedgehog Central – Hedgehog pet care & owner forum

Mriao Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2013 Posts: 25	Quill loss Recently, Luci has started losing quills on her forehead and her lower back, just above the tail. I haven't found any quills, but I know for certain that she was not like this before. Her skin, where the quills are gone, is a reddish-pink color. I'm guessing it could possibly be mites, but I haven't seen any images of hedgehogs with mites to compare it to. I'll be taking her to the vet on Tuesday regardless, but I really wanted to ask around online, first.
