Default Benebac

What is the benbac dose for hedgehogs? I searched and cannot find the direct answer. My hedgehog is on antibiotics. The last time I gave it to her I gave 1 "click", and I think it was too much because it gave her pretty bad diarrhea. That was a few weeks ago before she was on meds though. An answer in mL would be super helpful.

Doesnt it tell you the dose based off the weight off a small animal? I'd go by that, pretty sure thats what others do when they use it.

The directions says to give 1 gram (1 click) per 10#. She's 275 grams so I'm not sure how to measure it that way... 😕

113 grams of body weight: 1/8 teaspoon
113 - 227 grams of body weight: 1/4 teaspoon
227 - 454 grams of body weight: 1/2 teaspoon
454 grams - 2.3 kilograms: 1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon contains 2.7 grams of Bene-Bac.

This is what the one I use says for dosage just found it now is that easier?

Okay so the gel
1 click is 1g
Its 1g per 4.5kg body weight
It seems to be more for rabbits, puppies and kittens.

To be honest I dont think the gel is any good for a hedgehog.

Since the dosage is based on 1 gram for every 10 pounds you would need to find out the dose for the weight of your hog. 275 grams works out to 0.60627122 pounds. I don't think you will be able to portion out the correct dose based on the "click" system of the Benebac. You might be better off getting the powder as it can be measured into smaller doses.
