Our Pipa has been having a problem with swollen gums and a swollen face the past few days. The vet isn’t sure if it’s oral cancer or an infection , so he’s started us out by trying antibiotics and an anti inflammatory. Does anyone have experience with this to know how long it takes to see symptoms start to subside once medication is started (assuming it is an infection).

It can vary. I had one who had a large hard mass like swelling under his tongue, we saw a noticeable reduction in swelling within a couple of days. I had another earlier this year who's lower left jaw swelled and again felt like a hard mass. She took 10 days before we started to see a reduction in swelling and required a longer than normal run of antibiotics to fully heal.
Both had to be syringe fed. One went very inactive, the other started biting anything that touched her. Watch for changes in behavior. With mine, we saw improvements in their behaviors before we saw a change in the "mass." Stopped biting, started being active again, eating, etc.
