Lethargic, not eating much, heavy breathing.
 

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of what's going on with my hedgehog. There was no vets currently opened so I have to wait until tomorrow to make an appointment to take her in.

For the past few days, Wendy has had a loss of appetite and eats very little. I noticed a huge difference when she ate only half of a very veggie/bug-full meal. She was running fine yesterday but today I noticed some behaviour that was very concerning.

She was lethargic, looks much thinner, and there's heavy breathing. I also noticed she walks a little funny. I know she's not wobbling but it seems like her back legs don't have enough energy to lift her or something.

I syringe fed her some bananas with water and she took it fine. Nothing has changed in light schedule or temperature.

I no longer need help on this issue. Unfortunately, Wendy passed away early this morning when I was trying to make an appointment to see the vet.

It is still frightening and devastating to know this all happened over the span of 24h.

Poor baby, Its really hard to know what's wrong over the internet, I'm sorry that you lost her.

Oh my god. I’m logged in to ask for help. I think my hedgehog is dealing with the same thing. Worst part is that no vets nearby will be open until Monday. I think my Penny is dying.

I'm so so sorry to hear about Wendy. It's shocking and devastating that it happened so fast, before you could even get her help. Take care of yourself. I know it must be hard. I've only had my little guy a short time but I worry about him constantly and am already so attached to him.
