Default Antibiotics and diet/ pictures

Hello all!

So my male hedgie, Walter, is reaching 5 years in early August. Recently he developed a little bump under his eye, and I know hedgehogs are prone to oral cancer, it hurt no less knowing.

However, it developed so quickly, and looks more so infected than a tumor. I gave it a week or 2 to see if anything changed, however, it just got bigger, so I took him to the exotic animal vet. He did not specialize in hedgehogs. And none in the area do, but Walter was a gem, and didnt fight the vet at all when having to get a sample of the tissue in his mouth and started bleeding 😞 Unfortunately, it will take a week to know for sure if it is a tumor or tooth issue, which I hear are also common. He is still just acting normal and cheerful/active, so I'd hate to put him down if he wasn't suffering/ was fixable even for a few months.

What I wanted to know, is that if any previous hedgie owners noticed a change in their baby's behavior with the meds? Obviously he was beat today (the day of the vet trip). He is always iffy on his wheel and eating, because he is out/handled a lot of the day, so it is hard to gauge the guy, but they should be a little lathargic when starting meds right? He is on 1 itty portion of a pain med every 24 hrs, and another antibiotic every 12 hrs.

I've been soaking his food for about a year now, and recently started crushing and lightly soaking it. As a little soft food variety, I scrambled him an egg in a seperate dish. I saw baby food and ensure were good for hedgies on meds, along with my previous question, I'd love good food ideas for Walter! Any help is much appreciated!

Attached are pics I sent to the vet to send to the specialist as well! (Im not sure when the other front tooth fell out).. the last pic is to do him justice, as the lump wasnt nearly as bad a few weeks ago.
