Default 4 year old hedgie has stopped eating, continues to drink and has a large growth on hi

He was uninating over himself and being very lethargic. I have taken him to the vets who have injected him with an antibiotic, and something to boost his appetite. Though because of his age she said she can't say for certain that if its not something worse. There's a growth on his foot that has grown in the past few days and I've bought him soft tasty wet food to tempt him to eat. I think I'm just asking for advice if anyone else has gone through this? I really need my baby to be OK, the vet said if he doesn't eat tonight ill have to take him back and decide what's best to do for him, I don't want him in pain but I love him so much and I'm devastated at the moment.

I had a hedgey with a cut that swelled not a growth or anything and they didn't eat due to pain but after I shringe fed water and left some wet cat food filled with worms he was inticed enough and he was an old boy. Your vet sounds rubbish and like they need to do more hope all is well for u . X

I am sorry your little one is not feeling well. People are in and out of the forums. Nikki and Lilysmommy are really good sources for information.

You need to start syringe feeding him. He also needs to go back to the vet to figure out exactly what's wrong with him.
