Exclamation Sudden irritation

My Hedgie (Ollie) is not acting right, he seems to be less active, not as happy or playful, with decreased eating and drinking over the past 24 hours. Has these rash/ irritations on his neck and legs. Could he be irritated to the bedding?Could it be from mites? Is it time to take him to the vet?

Sudden behavioral changes like this warrants a visit to the vet asap.

I agree, you should take him to the vet.

Also if he is barely eating you need to start syringe feeding him. If they go without food or very little food for more than 24hours they can quickly deteriorate and even develop fatty liver disease.

Did you change anything in his enclosure, is it new bedding?

Edit: I just read your other posts, it's importsnt to know what type of bedding it is. If it's cedar this could be causing the problem, it shouldn't be used. Or he could have got mites from the bedding.
