Exclamation Injured Toe?

I saw a thread similar to this one and I believe Nikki mentioned it could be infected (for the other person's hedgehog). However, for my girl, hers doesn't seem to be infected? It's just red around her nail base. She acts and runs normally on her wheel so it doesn't seem to be bothering her.

Do you think I should leave it alone and see if it gets better or take her to the vet?

Hey, how long has it been like it? Looks like it's been bleeding but I could be wrong. Best to keep it clean with regular footbaths to avoid an infection and monitor. If doesn't show signs of healing or starts to get inflammed like the other person's hedgie's toe was or she starts limping etc then time to go to the vet. This is just my opinion though. See what Nikki and others suggest too

If you use fleece, perhaps she's caught her toe on it, they're quite hard to trim. I'm sure Yuki's baby toes have looked like that before. They usually look much better after a footbath though...

Her one doesn't look infected like the other ne did. I would just keep,it clean and keep and eye on it.

Thank you both for the reply

It's been like this for a while, about a week. I should have taken pics before because I don't really know if it has gotten better or not.

I trim her nails every Fri/Sat so her nails are due for a trim!
