Surgery advice

Hello,
My hedgehog Penelope has surgery tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone can give me some extra care tips.
I know the vet will tell me mostly what to do but I wanted to make sure I do everything correctly.

Hi! I have some cool tips to share. If your vet is giving you liquid meds and when you syringe feed it to you hedgie, sometimes they will try getting all frothy in the mouth and spit the medicine out. Your best bet it to have another syringe of water so the water will make them drink the medicine instead of spitting it out. Alot of hedgehogs don't want to eat or drink depending on the pain levels or medicine. Your best bet is to feed them yourself, but your vet probably told you this. Lastly, I'd temporarily take out the wheel so they can heal depending on the surgery. You don't want poop or pee infecting the incision! That's if your doctor didn't give you a cream to cover it. How your hedgie gets well! Best wishes!
