Default Litterbox Concern

The other day, while bathing Jupiter, I discovered that one of the little litter balls (I use Kaytee Critter Litter) was stuck to the end of his peewee. It wasn't inside it, but it took a bit of effort to get it off--partially because he's a squirmy little bub--and I checked to make sure there was nothing else inside. The balls are honestly too big to get worked up inside the shaft, but this is a weird issue I've discovered twice in the past week. I just want to ask everyone if they have any suggestions, whether it's for prevention or new litter, or cleaning techniques for the next time this happens! The lady I bought Jupiter from used this litter and said the formula was good for preventing UTI issues, but now I'm worried!

My hedgehog had the same problem, but it didn’t affect him in anyway. I don’t really think there’s anything to worry about, and how I would clean him is, I would get a wet washcloth and just wipe him down so you don’t have to give them a foot bath everyday. But make sure he’s dry before putting him in because then you’ll just have to restart process.

Personally I would switch to a different litter. If it's becoming stuck, even for a short time, it can easily lead to a bladder or urinary tract infection. It's a lot cheaper to switch litters than to pay for a vet bill.
