Default Hurt toe

Caesar is 3 months 2 weeks old and I've had him for almost a month now, this morning I found a small amount of blood on his blanket that he sleeps on and a little bit near his wheel. Last night he seemed normal, the only thing I noticed that was different was that he was on the wheel more that usual. He is quilling right now so he is a little grumpier that usual. This morning when I took him out so that I could clean his cage he wasn't as active like other mornings. Normally he runs around the little pen I set up for him. Today he started off really slow and walked sort of stiff like. When I checked his paws they seemed fine except for a his toe on his hind right leg, it seemed torn. How do I treat it? Should I take out his wheel to keep him from hurting it more?

Keep it clean, put a little neosporin (regular strength) on it, and take the wheel out for a few days.

Make sure it's regular Neosporin, not the kind with pain relief.
