I have bought a new hedgie to add to my future breeding plans....I got her at 5.5 weeks old and that was 2 weeks ago today. About 3-4 days ago she suddenly started to have, what I have seen described here as fatty tissue in her eyelid area. From what I have found, some think it's harmless, some think it's genetic. The breeder is offering to trade her for another, but of course I really like her and am forming our bond and stuff....but like I said, my intentions with her was to be a mommy some day. So i need opinions...there are no other babies in her litters, nor any adults, that have this eye issue....so do I get another or do you think this eye thing is not an issue?

There is a fair chance that this is genetic (although there might be an environmental cause - allergy, etc). Try switching foods and bedding for a week and see how she responds. If there is no change, I highly recommend you not breed her.
