Worried about hedgie not playing at night

So, as a new hedgie mommy, maybe I'm a little paranoid. But, 3 days ago I gave my baby Pickles a bath, and he's had one before, but after this one, it seems he's been sleeping ALL the time. He'll come out at night a couple times to eat (I can tell because he likes to relieve himself while he eats) but other than that, it doesn't seem he's used his wheel or anything, because it's all squeaky clean. I bought him a heat lamp and thermometer, so I know he's not too cold, but my thermostat isn't here yet, and the temperature in his cage tends to fluctuate throughout the day because of it. His belly doesn't feel cold, and he's perfectly active when he IS awake or when I get him out. Could he have maybe caught a cold from the bath or maybe be lethargic from quilling? Am I just overreacting?

Some heat lamps will give off to much light and some hedgehogs will not come out to play unless it's totally dark.

LarryT is right. My hedgehog stays hidden until it's completely dark.

I tried the infrared light bulb one night and Percy wouldn't come out at all, so I tossed that idea out quickly. Unless it's pitch black at night, he won't come out on his own.

Well, the thing that gets me is he sleeps in my room and there have been occasions where I fell asleep with the TV on and he was still very active, but the change did start happening with the lamp, so im gonna invest in a CHE to be on the safe side thanks for the advice!
