Hi, I have my hedgies since last week. And they lick their nose a lot. My vet gave me baitryl, for 5 days. They sometimes sneeze too. I am at day 3 of meds but I see no change. I am a first ownrr so I am very worried about anything so please excuse me if I say something stupid. I keep them in a room with 25° by day and 22° by night and I am waiting for 7watt termic bed bought from a store online. They eat high quality cat food and 3 live food worms a day, also sometimes fruit or veggies. What am I doing wrong?

I'm surprised that no one has chimed in on this topic.

Without seeing what your hedgehog is doing specifically, I won’t say it’s “nothing to worry about”.

BUT, FWIW, our hedgehog, since we got him at 2 months old, has always licked his nose when he's out and about. I’ve assumed it was a way for him to “clear the scent” that he currently had to then pickup some more scent/a new scent. He’s licking his nose when he’s visibly/clearly sniffing the air (head pointed up, scanning around the room, etc.)

I’ll also occasionally hear him click his teeth and lick while he’s in his cuddle sack – but I’ve also assumed he was trying to sniff out who was around him outside that cuddle sack (me).

It all seemed really normal. There’s no other symptoms or signs – and his nose isn’t dripping or anything like that.
