Default First Bath

I need to give Owen his first bath! Does anyone have any tips on how to make it as little stressful and possible?! He is just starting to warm up to me after 3 weeks of having him. Any advice would be great.

The main things to minimizing stress IMO is to not have the water running when he's around, make sure he can stand on the bottom and not slip around, don't do anything too suddenly, and don't let him get water in his eyes/ears/nose. There's a section on bathing in the book in my signature, if you need more general bath help. Good luck!

Make sure you have everything ready from the start. A frantic or stressed parent can often rub off on the hedgie, so know where everything is and have it easily accessible. (Such as whatever wash you may use, the toothbrush to clean him with, a towel - which I often have someone throw in the dryer for me so it gets nice and warm - and a few napkins or something of the sort to grab any accidental poops that make make there way into the bath.) Good luck!
