Unhappy Red around Trixies nose

Trixie is almost 3 years old. I took her out to play and giver her a bath when I noticed her face looks a little puffy and around her nose looks red. its not a soft red(like if it was a rash) but its almost like tiny blood vessles or splotchy red round her nose. When I bathed her, she was letting me rub it with my finger like it made her nose feel better. I noticed a tiny bit of discharge from one of her eyes also. Could this be allergies?
We switched to all natural Carefresh bedding about a month ago and its ONLY for her corner litter box. The rest of her cage is a fleece liner, which she's used for a long time. The reason for switching to Carefesh in her potty is because we used paper towels before and it got stinky and messy FAST, her feet were covered in poop a lot so she tracked it all over her cage and the house smelled like her pee, but the carefresh keeps the smell and mess down a lot.
I am not positive that the bedding is the issue, but let me know whether you think this is allergies or something else. If you think Carefresh is the problem, could you please let me know what you use for your hedgie's potty?
Thanks.

Carefresh tends to be dusty, and a few members have had drying issues due to the carefresh, as well as have respiratory issues. For litter boxes, your best bet is to use some sort of pelleted litter, such as Purina's Yesterday's News. There are other types of pelleted litter as well, in the cat litter section of pet stores. Just make sure you get pelleted, and not loose clay/pebble type.
