Unhappy Eucalyptus poisoning??

I got some lotion as a gift the other day and completely blanked about washing my hands before handling my hedgie. He started to lick to annoint and I realized real fast what he was smelling. The lotion has eucalyptus and spearmint oils in it, and I don't think he ingested very much of it (I applied it hours ago and he was only licking for maybe 10 seconds).
I've looked online and not found much information about the toxicity of eucalyptus essentail oil specifically, but quite a bit about tea tree oil (I've always avoided it).

I'm now worried that I should be looking for signs to see if the eucalyptus/spearmint oil in the lotion is toxic. What should I be looking for? What should I do if I see signs? Is there anything that can be done if he has been poisoned?

I feel absolutely terrible about this and I'm already hating myself, so if anyone has any kind of wisdom for me I would be super grateful.

I can't speak specifically to this situation but if he is sick or showing any symptoms I would imagine it would be a change in his poops. Any runny consistency, or change of color would be a warning sign I suppose. of course it's not to say it would actually be caused by your lotion, like I said I can't speak specifically to that.

Also any changes in eating or drinking. If he slows on either he may not be feeling well.

If you are worried you could try to call your vet and ask them over the phone, some vets are good with simple questions like that. If he does experience any symptoms of not feeling well, I suggest taking him to the vet and informing them that it may be the cause, but keep in mind it could also be irrelevant.

Good luck!
