How do I clip a stubborn hedgehogs nails?

I need tips on clipping nails and I have a hedgehog that isn't really use to me. Her previous owner didn't clip her nails it seems. How do I go about trimming them. should i wait until she trusts me? It needs to be done ASAP

I have seen lots of advice and tips for clipping nails in this forum, I would just search through here and you will find a lot of different tips to try. If the nails need to be done, then I wouldn't wait on trying or it will become a health or accident hazard. My hedgehog is very wiggly and resistant to clippings, what works best for me is I only go for a nail or two at a time in one sitting, getting them all over the course of a couple days. I also reward her with a mealie each time so she doesn't hate me too much ;)

If they are that bad you might want to take her to a vet. I let her get entertained in her favorite treat and get her foot when she is busy annoiting, and give lots of treats afterwards. One foot a night
