Default Possible hair loss and redness :/

I don't know if this much hair missing behind his ear is normal. His skin beside his ear and down his skirt seems red. There seems to be some flakiness behind his ear, but he is 12 weeks and should be loosing his 12 week quills. He did loose two earlier in the week, but I haven't seen ONE since then. He ate all if his food last night and the poop in his wheel looked normal. I have been putting flaxseed oil on him, but he won't let me do the top of his head. Tell me I'm worrying about nothing.

My hedgehogs skin looks like that around his ears too and I used to worry about the same thing. I think he just has dry skin which is an easy fix however it would definitely be smart to get other people's insight

Thanks. I put the pictures up on the facebook page, and a lot of people commented on them. I gave him a bath with oatmeal shampoo shortly after the comments. His skin looks less red, but it's still a little dry. I put some flaxseed oil on him again so hopefully he feels better. Thanks again for the reply
