Talking My hedgehog ate my Chapstick! Help!!

My hedgehog milo ate a piece of my Burt's bees Chapstick last night when it fell into his cage. He seems to be okay but I am worried that there were ingredients in the Chapstick that could poison him. What should I do? I will continue to monitor his status but I am still scarred he will not show signs of being sick until it is too late. Anyone have any advice??

It sounds like most of the ingredients are harmless. Although, I'm not sure how close peppermint oil is to tea tree oil...tea tree oil is deadly to hedgies. I would be worried about blockages from the wax. I would probably get your hedgie to the vet to have an x-ray done if poo starts to slow down. The best you can do is watch your hedgie and book an appointment with the vet- just to make sure everything is going okay.
