Default Expecting very hot weather tomorrow. Advice?

Hey everyone its me again. So today it was pretty warm (around 80 degrees in my area of Jersey). My room (where my hedgie is kept is on the second floor of the house which obviously can get very hot. right now his cage is at 82.9 degrees. I am not too worried because he is still sleeping comfortably in his fleece. I am concerned because I know it will be in the 90s tomorrow and it will get very hot upstairs and I will be at class for most of the day. Luckily we have an empty room on the first floor of the house where our rat is kept and the temperature is significantly lower down there.

I was thinking about moving his cage to this empty room tomorrow but am worried if the sudden change in temperature will be a problem. He will obviously have his heating set up and thermostat (which finally seems to be working). but I am just concerned about the initial transition. Thoughts?

If his heating setup is working correctly now, it shouldn't be a problem to move him downstairs. I had to do the same thing with Lily a few times, since my room upstairs has the same issue. Even though heat didn't bother her much, I played it safe on days where I wasn't going to be around, and moved her to the living room (away from any air conditioning vents) with her CHE set up and a blanket to make sure her cage stayed warm enough in the cooler room.
