Re: what are the sure signs they are hibernating??
If she is attempting to hibernate she will be in an unresponsive, curled up quilly ball. If she is heading towards it, she can be anywhere in a range of, slightly cool belly, not quite as active and not eating much, to cold belly, wobbly on feet, not eating, not eliminating much if any.
With my gang over the years, most of them I know if I wiggle them in the morning, they will huff at me. For most, if they don't huff, I know something is up. Miki is one of the oddballs in that she will huff once if she is okay. If she continues to huff I know she is cool and heading towards a hibernation attempt.
