Please help, Snuggles has been have really bad dry skin but since I can't find any balding spots or mites I am assuming it is due to winter and the changing temp. But yesterday and today he has been acting like he is on crack, almost like paranoia. He is jerking around in his cage and when I try to comfort him along with extreme hissing, loud clicking and biting. He is known to be bi polar in moods but it has never been so extreme before. As well he managed to hurt himself on the forehead and its red (looks kinda bleedy) I don't know if was from pricking himself or if he lost a quill but I put some polysporin on it, but when I went to do it a second time he bit the q-tip with polysporin on it, will he be ok? and what its going on with his mood?

He is about 9 - 10 months, and my room temp cant seem to stay constant the heater is either on or off so 10 or 30 degrees and if its 30 i keep the window open to get to temp to a good middle but sometimes it just gets to cold, so there has been a lot of temp. changes on him but that's been for a couple months now, the mood change is new to just yesterday and today

He may have started his 1 year quilling.
You need to get a heating system in place... there's too much temperature fluctuation, and that could be throwing him off.

is it ok for the temp to stay at 30? because it doesn't bother me but I didn't know if it was save for him. Also what about him maybe ingesting polysporin when he bit the q-tip?

If 30C is 86F degrees, that's WAY too warm. They like to be kept between 75-78F, which is 23.89-25.56C.
