Default Pooping! Does it get better?

Hey everyone! Oliver is only 8 weeks old and his poop is kind of runny. It's not as solid as I read online.
Also he is starting to use the bathroom in his litter pan but he does like to poop around his cage. I have gone through two rolls of paper towel cleaning up his poop in a week!

Will he be able to control his bowel movements better as he gets older? Should I worry that his poop isn't as solid as it should be? Will he get better at using his litter pan?

Thanks!

He's just a baby, he'll get better at controlling his bowels. Also, hedgehogs don't naturally go to the bathroom in a litter box.

Yeah, I'm always happy when Quilliam uses his litterbox, but I don't expect him to. Hedgehogs have only been domesticated for 0.000000000001% as long as cats and dogs. Their poop will be runny for a few months but it will normalize.

I know they don't really use the litter box but I he will get more used to using it as he gets older.
Glad to hear that it's normal for the poop to be like this in the beginning!

Thanks for the replies!
