Default Red Sores?

Hey guys, I'm a relatively new hedgehog owner but I've done a lot of research prior to buying little Brembo.

He's just shy of 4 months old and has been a healthy, curious little thing ever since we brought him home.

However... Tonight I noticed some red wound-like sores on his back in certain spots under his quills. His behavior is still normal, and they don't seem to phase him much. Diet and exercise have remained the same.

I'm stumped! I just made a vet appointment for sometime this week but was wondering if anybody has seen anything similar.

I really have no idea what that could be, it doesn't look like a regular staph infection that we often see in babies. Please let us know what the vet says.

Hi, my hedgie seems to be experiencing the same thing. Have you figured out what this was?

@a.gelene this post is two years old and the OP never posted back unfortunately. Please start a new thread and someone will try to help but ultimately you need to take your hedgie to the vet and get a diagnosis and treatment.
