I bought Carmichael through a regular pet store who was selling him for his previous owner in April. When I bought him he had terrible mites and was itching like crazy.. I got him treated immediately and all has been well since then. However, for the past month he has been losing quills heavily, he isn't itchy and his skin isn't dry. I checked him out and the quills were growing back rather quickly. I have heard that they can go through quilling periods at certain ages and assumed that what it was but it doesn't seem to be going away. Should I be concerned??

In some hedgies, quilling periods can last up to a month.
