Exercise with poor vision?

Vet put him on Metacam (for cats/kittens), 0.1 ml drop every day. I will certainly ask about the glucosamine and chondroitin. I used to give him a tropical oil that was recommended on here years ago that had to be refrigerated, or would occasionally add flax oil to his food, when his skin was getting dry. Might need to try that again! Considering his weight went down this time, I imagine getting him a little more fat into his diet would help :P He currently eats a blend of CSFTCLS Adult and Solid Gold's Katznflocken and has done well with it for years now. I give my cats Tiki Cat wet food occasionally for a treat.. Do you think that would be good to help him with this medicine? He never eats all of his food, and I doubt I'll be able to give him this medicine straight into his mouth lol

If he likes canned food, or even baby food you can try that. Sometimes a little chicken or turkey baby food mixed helps. You can also try to pull the metacam up in the syringe, then pull something else to mask the flavor to see if he will take the syringe better. At first you are likely to be met with a lot of defensive behavior. Usually given enough time and patience they will figure out what you are doing and react better to it. Afterwards, give him a mealworm or two, they can learn that taking the syringe means they get mealworms afterwards. Another idea is to freeze the mealworms, thaw one or two, inject the meds into the worms and feed him the doctored mealworms.

Oooh, excellent ideas. Still waiting on his medicine to come in (should be here Tuesday), so I will try some of these out and report back how it goes.
