Question Help pimple like thing found on private part

I have a 6 month old female hedgehog named Princess, and today I found this pimple looking thing on her lady part and I am quite worried. It is white in the middle (looks maybe like puss is underneath it.

as for other symptoms, or poop seems normal, but have noticed she hasn't ate all her food like usual. I mix cat food with a bit of hedgehog food for all my hedgehogs. They prefer the cat food but usually eat it all. I have noticed that Princess hasn't been eating much other than the cat food. And this morning, I noticed she didn't even eat all of that. She also has some bent quills. but the vet told me that it was okay.

I use recycled newspaper pellets as bedding, but have switched it to just a liner for tonight because I want to be able to monitor her a bit more and see if she is peeing.

Does anyone have any idea what this may be? and what I can do? I cannot see a vet until Monday as they are all closed for the weekend. and I am super concerned about Princess.

Your plans are all right on point. Monitor for urine & what color it is, and I would also measure/weigh/count how much food she's actually eating. If she's eating very little or nothing, you should prepare to syringe-feed her. The best thing you can do is gather information for the vet & take her there when you can. As long as you're monitoring for the next couple days, she should be fine to wait until Monday to get in.
FinnickHog and Prue like this.

So update, i have not taken her to the vet yet. She has started eating normally again, and is peeing and pooping normally. Ive also been monitoring the area on her lady part. The white pus part was gone, and now there is no sore there at all! She seems to be feeling great. She is walking around and letting me pick her up. She is a quite shy and timid girl. Should i still take her to the vet? Or do you think maybe she just scratched herself or something??.

Should be fine to skip the vet visit, I think, unless you want to go in for a wellness check anyway. Sounds like it might've just been a pimple or something similar that's gone away on its own! Doesn't hurt to keep an eye out in case she gets another, and if so, ask the vet what might be going on, but if she's acting completely normal otherwise, sounds like she's fine now.
