Default Pink bump above Quilliam's eye

Quilliam is about 6 weeks old. I noticed when I first got him a week ago that his seemed to have a small red area over his left eye, but I could barely notice it. It has gotten bigger now; it's pink in color and raised. It is still pretty small, but definitely noticeable and I believe getting bigger. All his other behavior is normal. I tried getting a picture, but it wasn't easy because when I use flash it gets washed out, and when I don't it's blurry. Here a few pictures to give you an idea...

Update: I decided to make him a vet appointment: luckily, there is an exotics vet that treats hedgehogs really close to me! He'll be going in on Friday. I'll update you guys then.

I don't know what it could be - but I'm glad you're taking him in. That's what I would do. Better safe than sorry - especially so close to his eye.
Let us know what you find out! I hope everyything goes well.

Just got back to the vet- he said that he is fine, it's just a pimple or wart.

However, I'm nearly 100% confident this vet has never seen a hedgehog in his life, and didn't even bother reading up on them before I came in. Throughout the whole examination, I was the one explaining things to HIM as he stood there with a bewildered look on his face. He was afraid to pick him up and kept withdrawing his hand, so I did it for him and put him in his hands. I asked about nail clipping, and he said "He's never heard of a hedgehog needed their nails clipped" and wouldn't show me how to do it.

He then asked "how does he like the cold"? And I informed him about hibernation, once again he had no clue.
I asked him about him loosing quills, and he said "don't worry about it, quills are just like hair" and I then explained quilling to him.
He then gave Quilliam a dog treat, and I asked him if he knew what annointing was. I explained that to him as well.

He left the room and I was charged $47. That guy should've paid ME! I'm just angry because I asked before I came if he had experience treating hedgehogs and they said yes.

That doesn't sound good at all. I would take him to see another vet for a second opinion. Maybe ask on here if anyone knows a good vet in your area. It sucks that you'll have to pay twice but it will save you the worry. Again keep us updated.
