Talking Skin Disease

I have notice that two days ago, my hedgehog did not use the wheeI and his eating habits where normal. The day after that, he started to use again the wheel but then his eating habits stopped and barely no signs of manure was found. It wasn't til today that I notice that he has a skin disease (redness) on the back of his ears. What is happening? What is it? What can I do? I need help.

Poor Twix.
I have never had any experience with this so I will leave it to someone more knowledgeable to reply. I just hope the little guy gets better, I'm sure that you will be needing to make a trip to the vets so they can diagnose the problem, but hopefully that's not the case. Best wishes for the little guy!

Does he scratch behind his ears? If he is scratching excessively, he might have mites. That wouldn't explain his not eating. Have you changed his food? How old is he? You can try wetting his kibble to see if he will eat it, or try giving him some baby food.

Just throwing this out there because I can't see the pictures very well, but are you sure it's a skin ailment and not just really pink skin? Is it scabbing, pussing, really dry or completely bald of quills/hair? If it is any of those things, a vet visit is probably in order, but if not, maybe just keep an eye on it?

I'm wondering about this because my hedgie's skin is usually quite pink behind her ears.
