Default Hiccups?

So I just got my new baby Dodger and I noticed that he his whole body twitches.. they look like he has the hiccups. Is that something common? I've never experienced this before in my other hedgies and I'm just not sure if it's something I should be watching for. Any advice?

Is he defensive and puffing/hissing? That's normal defensive behavior for Hedgehogs. If they aren't then i am not sure it doesn't sound normal if he is just twitching/shivering.

He's not puffing or anything, I just read another post about a bunch of people who have noticed this in their hedgie as well and they say that it's nothing to worry about which makes me feel so much better

My hedgehog does this, too. I always wondered about it, but I wasn't too concerned since she only does it once in a while. I'm glad you posted this question. I know I'm not the only one, now!

Haha yeah being a new hedgie "mommy" again is making me extremely protective of him and seeing him do that made me a little nervous. But after he did it he got up and ate and then went back to sleep so I'm not worried at all
