Taking a guess here, but did you buy the dual time cycle model? You will want to set it up as heat only. Hedgehogs require the same temperature both day and night. If you bought what I think you did, I don't have one, but that model has a time feature that allows you set a day and night time temperature setting. Which is meant to be used with some plants and animals the benefit from having a cooler evening temp, but its an unneeded function for our hedgehog's requirements.
