Heating large cage
I am a new hedgehog mom, after much research and anticipation, so obviously I'm very nervous I'm doing something wrong. I've been checking the temperature read-outs from my phone (we have a camera above her cage) multiple times a day, and I have the probe I can read from my camera on the "cold side" of her cage (farther away from the ceramic heating bulb).
Is it okay to have a gradient of heat that may dip lower than 70 *F?
Her ceramic bulb thermostat is set to be 80, but I worry the cage is too large, and the wires don't help hold any heat.
I can show pictures if that makes it easier to understand her set up.
Thank you for any help!
