Default Towels

Hello all!
I'm getting a hedgie in less than a month and am super excited I've been researching and had a question about bathtime
What kind of towel should you use to dry them off? I know drying is a must before putting them back in their cage, at least their stomachs. But the traditional towels I've seen contain tiny loops of thread that their nails can get caught on

I use fleece for everything. We make sure we hold Priss on our tummies for at least an hour or so wrapped in fleece and on top of a heating pad so that we know she is dry. We change the first piece after about 10 minutes so that she won't be sitting in a damp wrap. Some hedgies llike to be blown dry (low heat of course), but we just turn the space heater on high, turn on the fire place and get the room really toasty before bath time.

I use a regular towel even though it has the loops because Quigley is never alone with it and is not running around on it or digging in it. I wrap him up in after the bath and after a few minutes when it has soaked up most of the water I switch him to fleece and he continues to sit on my tummy for at least 20 min. I don't know if you have any shammies or sham wows but I have also used those and they do not have any loops or loose threads.

I use regular towels as well, because I'm always with them when they're drying after baths/foot baths.

I got a box of Shamwows last year for Christmas as a joke because of the commercial.

But I gotta say I love them! They dont harbor lint so they are great for cleaning glass (windows, mirrors, etc) and they are excellent for drying pets.

I use them all the time! There isn't any loops or anything and they come in different sizes so they are convenient.

They aren't quite as absorbent as Advertised in the commercial, but they do the job

I have a bunch of hair turbans (for the guys without the hair thing - they are special towels made to soak up water from your hair after you wash it) that I might use for Priss! They are similar to shamwow material.

Great idea!
