new home

So I thought that it was time to make a new cage for my hedgie. I am just starting to collect my supplies, my plan is to make those cages, made out of cubes. I know that you use chloroplast (sorry if my spelling it off) to make the lining of the cage, if anyone can help me with how you cut it or any tips to make it fit to size that would be a great help! I also understand that I need zip ties, I am unaware how to make a roof for my hedgie that is easy to come off so I can visit him. Any other tips would be great! Please help :)

For cutting length wise with the grain its easier to cut in the space between the channels, you can use a box cutter with a straight edge to make fast work of it. For cutting across the grain you can use the same or even really sharp scissors will work. You just will want to make sure you aren't cutting too much with scissors or it will put some serious cramps in your fingers and hands. Its easiest if your longest measurement goes with the grain and the shortest against.
