I have just read Nancy's reminder of heating and lighting for the cage and am thinking of attempting to move my hedgies cage because it currently sits under a window and has done for a year. Now, there are two things that might stop this
1. He's currently not 100% well. As written in other posts im dealing with what seems to be a tooth infection. Is it a bad idea to move the cage while not well? 2.The cage was originally in a corner away from drafts but in front of a plug socket. About a year ago Henry seemed to develop a hatred of being closed in (it was in a corner of two walls) and stopped coming out at night. I discovered this after he stayed at a friends on top of the Kitchen table (same cage) and seemed to come out again. I don't think he liked the sound of his light timer in socket either. This is the only other place i have to put him. Should i try again? Whats everyone's opinion? His cage temperature is fine, 78 degrees but his has got lazier over the last 6 months. Can't feel a draft from the window but as Nancy says im sure its still cooler. |

You can cover the window with a plastic window kit. That will stop most drafts or cold radiating in.
If he doesn't like the sound of the timer, can you put it on an extension cord and plug into a different outlet?
