What Kind Of Cage For A Hedgie?

I have a 75 gallon and im getting my hedgies thursday!

I hear they have delicate lungs and this is not a good cage.

Can people give me some good ideas/links/pictures of good cages please?

Also what to put in there? = )

Plastic tote cages connected together with PVC pipe is a cheaper, yet effective, alternative. For extra ventalation, you can drill holes in the sides of the plastic after heating it up. I use a modified Ferret Nation and it works great for my hedgie and has tons of room. It's roughly 2 feet by 3 feet. If you use this you will have to either put coroplast up 8 inches or so they cant climb the bars or weave placemats up 8 inches or so. You'll have to take down any ladders or climbing pieces in it so they don't get injured and make sure that it has a solid bottom. I used the plastic liner that came with it and wrap it in fleece. The doors swing all the way open and make cage cleaning a breeze.

I made my own C & C cages using cubes and coroplast. Here's a site that shows you how to do it:

It even shows you where to buy the supplies, as coroplast (called "corrguated plastic" in some places) can be hard to find:

You can also add a easily openable lid, by buying a shelving unit and hooking it on with twist ties like I have on my cages.
