Default Trying to decide on a cage. Suggestions?

So I have been planning on using a Sterilite tub since the very beginning. However, after putting the igloo and CSW into the 110qt tub (35"L x 10"W x 13"H) I realized there is not a whole lot of extra room. I am leaning towards a C&C now but not 100% for it yet. The reason I wanted the Sterilite tub was because I go to my parents’ house once or twice a month and would want to bring my hedgie with and a tub would work best for this. Would it be ok to use a C&C at my house but and just use the tub when I’m gone for a couple of days? Would switching cages be too stressful if all the bedding and accessories stayed the same? Or would it be better to connect two tubs of this size? And would the heating accessories I already bough work with either of these? viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16091

A C&C is the best and least expensive way to get a cage that is of the appropriate size for a hedgie.
You can use that set up with either cage. The C&C may need two heating set ups, depending on how large you make it.
As long as you use the same stuff in the bin, I don't see there being too much stress.

Thanks for the reply. The wire shelving is on sale at Menards this week and I wanted to pick some up to use for the lid but I need to decided on the cage first. I'm going to go with a 2x3 C&C and just keep the bin for when I'm out.

I have mine in a C&C cage and when they're being babysat they go in their sterilite containers. So far so good. I just have to keep two different sized fleece liners, no big deal.

This is a great cage for someone who frequently takes their hedgehog to other houses. The wire part folds flat so it can be easily transported. It is fast and easy to set up and take down and is escape proof. A CHE setup can easily be used on this cage.
