Cotton Towels?

Can I use these as flooring for my hedgie's playpen?

Toe nails get caught on the loops in the fabric, so they shouldn't be used. If you search "towel loops" in the search bar in the top right corner, you'll see more posts about it :) .

Yes, hardwood floors are fine. Cardboard is ok as well, but if you use it in the cage, it will have to be changed weekly, since it can't be washed :) .

I would recommend just getting some fleece to put down on the bottom of the playpen. Then you won't have to worry.

The only time I use cotton towels is when I'm actually supervising whatever my hedgie is doing.

When she gets her foot baths, I put her in a towel to dry her off, and then we cuddle so I can be sure she is dry. When she IS dry, I put her and the towel in a laundry basket right next to me while I clean her cage. I do all of this during day light hours so 99% of the time she just goes right to sleep lol.
