Default Making sure he gets enough exercise.

Is it normal for hedgehogs to not run on their wheel infront of people? We know he uses it because theres poop on it, however we never see him do it. I'm not sure if hes embarrassed or if its normal.

Yup, that's normal. Most don't like to have anyone around when they run. My guess would be fear of predators, maybe? It's common for many to not want to run on their wheel other than in complete darkness too, which is usually linked to the not wanting anyone to watch (since you would usually need a light on).

I guess that is normal but my hedgehog doesn't care about people watching him run. He will hiss a little then go back to running even when the light are on he will be running as if it were Completely dark.
