You will need a very large wheel. Like a large comfort wheel although a lot of people love the California Storm Wheel, but if your looking to buy something local, the comfort wheel will do in a pinch. You will also need a Ceramic heat Emitter, a dome for it to go into, a thermostat(Reptitemp 500 is a great one), and of course food(high quality cat foods, a mixture), and dishes. Also hedgehog appropriate bedding, a lot of us like to use fleece liners. Oh and litter box if you'd like to litter train your hedgie.

This is just a basic list off the top of my head as I'm on my way out soon, PLEASE search this forum and do as much research as possible!!!

don't forget a digital thermometer so you can monitor the cage temp.!! Also, make sure you have a light source to provided 12-14 hours of light a day (a regular table lamp near the cage is ok)--a timer works nice for the lighting. Your hedgie will want somewhere to burrow and hide, like a ferret-sized igloo or a cardboard box filled w/ fleece strips or bedding. If you get the litter box, be sure to read about what to use for litter (don't use regular clay or clumpable cat litter). I use Yesterday's News cat litter. Congratulations!!

haha thanks guys!!! I'm super exicted!! I have been looking through the pages alot before posting it bust i wanted to make sure i have it all down. I found some cow print fleece for his cagee so that's gonna be sweet.
Still a few Questions:
Is Equine Fresh ok to use in litter pans?
They sell Ceramic Heat Emitters at pet stores right? What wattage would be best?

some pet stores have the CHE bulbs, domes, and thermostats. Some do not. (make sure the dome says it is safe for CHE use). I think I got ours at the local Petco, but I"ve heard others have had to order from online. Usually you will find them with the reptile stuff. the wattage of bulb you need will depend on the cage size, but I think 100 watts is pretty standard (someone correct me if I'm wrong)--you may have to get 2 if you have a larger cage. Our cage is about 4 ft x 2 ft and we have two bulbs, domes, and both are attached to the same thermostat. Some thermostats have a place to plug in only one thing and some have room for two so check that out. I think we have the Zilla thermostat and it has two. It will take a while to get the temp regulated, so I'd suggest getting it set up asap so you can get the temp to hold where you want it to be ready for your hedgie!!! :P
